I'm trying to create a wiring harness in DxDesigner that can be exported into Pro-E for modeling. Pro-E wants to import .MWF files, or .XML files, or "Mentor Graphics Wire List Format" files. I've talked to a DxDesigner support tech but she wasn't familiar with a "Mentor Graphics Wire List Format" file. Does anyone know how to create any of these file types in DxDesigner? Does anyone know of any other way to get a harness design from DxDesigner into Pro-E for modeling? Does anyone know how to get a DxDesigenr file into the RSD tool for Pro-E? Any help is appreciated.
It seems you should use Mentor's Vesys, a dedicated wiring and harness authoring tool.

Does Vesys output a .nwf or .xml file format? Any idea if Vesys integrates with the DxDatabook database?
Yes. Vesys export .nwf and .xml data for ProE to support data exchange. For Vesys's integration with ODBC database, you best post your post
on harness section.

Thanks for your help with this. I'll contact Mentor Graphics about a possible link from Vesys to DxDatabook.
