Hi Friends,
We would like to keep partnumber and symbol common across our business sites, but would like to map different cells based on the site requirements, is this possible in lmc/databook? Please help.
LMC/Databook supports this requirement. There are mutiple mehodologies to create libaries to support your requirement. The best way is DMS.
I strongly you consider to use DMS to support mutiple sites

Thanks for the quick response, you metioned it is still possible in LMS/DxDB, is there any Doc/tips available in Mentor?
I don't know whether Mentor have written the material for this topic. If you only wish your central library to support mutiple sites to use different padstacks, nothing more you need to do, just define mutilple technologies of padstacks in the libary. For example, you can define following technologies for padstack and let every site use the technology belongs to the site:
1)site1
2)site2
3)sites
it support that same symbol name, same part name, same cell name, same databook database, same pastacks name but different pads's size and contenets.
If you need let different site to use cells have more differences beyond padstacks, things more be complicated a bit. And I strongly you consider DMS.

Excellent.....So it is clear, we need to go for DMS if multiple sites using different types of cells for the same partnumber.
Thanks Again.
