Hi Boudewijn,
May I ask how was this text added? Is it via the normal Graphics > Add Text > Text menu item?
If it is part of an instantiated symbol, then you won't be able to delete just the text, but the whole symbol altogether.
If you can send me that symbol (XMl), I will take a look at it
Thanks
Muhammad
Hello Muhammad, please see the file attached.
I did it through `Graphics > Add Text > Text'.
Hi Boudewijn
I had a look at your border library, and there seems to be something wrong with the XML itself. The text that you placed and cannot delete is found in the XML with no ID to it.
Trying on my own border library, I placed some text and exported the XML, and indeed it has the ID value in the XML.
So my question to you is, what were the steps taken after you placed the text on the border? This is needed so I would be able to identify why this text has been rendered this way.
The good new is, the workaround is fairly simple: if you delete the lines (tags) in the XML that contain those properties, they disappear off your diagram. So if all you need is to just remove this text form the border, then this should work.
Cheers

Hi Muhammad,
This is what I did:
In VeSyS 2.0 Symbol:
· Open the A0 Harness,
· View > Show Boundaries > off
· Add text with T in toolbar.
· OK
· Click next to text (so it is not selected anymore)
· Save
· Close Library
· When I reopen the border, I cannot select the text anymore.
I have deleted the lines with the text from the XML file, but I cannot import the XML file in Symbol, because some ID’s are the same.
Is it possible to export and import only the A0 border?
Hi Boudewijn
I have tried your steps and the problem is reproducible for me as well, but only on your library for some reason. Please have an SR raised for this issue including your symbol library XML and the steps in your previous response.
Regarding the message "same ID exists", I think this is because you still have the old library in your database. You'll need to delete the existing one in Symbol first before importing the modified XML
It is possible to export just one of the symbols in DXF format and re-import it using: File > Export Diagram... then File > Import DXF
