OrCAD netlister for PADS.
Hi Chuck, thank you very much for upload PowerNET.
Is an excellent netlister used in OrCAD Capture for generate a netlist with components attributes for PADS standard editions.
With OrCAD Capture 17.2 the PowerNET need some .dll files in netforms folder, without the .dll files not work.
Best regards, Gianni.
It should all be included in the zip file.
Hi Chuck, i have find the PowerNET.zip uploaded in 21-august-2019, only now.
Please how to use your files or set it ? Please let me know thanks !
Need detailed instructions for using your files !
My workaround need only 4 .dll files copied in the netforms folder, and work well.
You probably need to run the Microsoft VB5 runtime install (msvbvm50.exe). It is not installed by default anymore.
It is in the zip, or you can download/install from microsoft.com
I've done the following carefully:
1- Microsoft VB5 (msvbvm50.exe) is installed.
2- In the C:\Cadence\SPB_17.2.\tools\capture\netforms folder; Comdlg32.ocx; PowerNET.exe; Usernetl.dll (contained on PowerNET.ZIP you have uploaded), are found.
3- With Windows 8.1 (64bit), the Comdlg32.ocx are registered, on C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder with: "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx" command prompt.
With this steps, in Capture 16.60, PowerNET work well and fine.
But switch to Capture 17.20 release, using "Cadence Switch Release", PowerNET NOT work !
And the following message appear:
This problem occurs in Windows 7 Pro 64bit, in Windows 8.1 64bit, and also in Windows 10, both on my computer and on another one of my colleague.
Have all these steps been done well? I forgot something ?
Please let me know.
Thanks to the help of a very experienced friend, we found that by adding the .dll files from \SPB_17.2\tools\pcb\bin\vc16 to the "netforms" folder the program work well !
But without these files the PowerNET on the 17.20 Capture version, absolutely does not want to work !
If you know another solutions please share it ! Thanks.
