These instructions are for Pads 9.2 both Logic and Layout. Thanks for the catch, I will make this clearer and add some additional tags to the original post.
But this is a solution how to run a macro (not a script) with a shortcut key, right?
Do you have a solution how to run a script with a shortcut? I use PADS 9.5

There's a way to do it but I don't recommend it because it's extremely fragile.
The closest you can come is to load the script and select the 'in menu' option then record a macro that clicks the appropriate script in the
menu. Once you have the macro you can then assign a shortcut to execute it.
order of the scripts in the menu is important, if you add/change/remove scripts the macro may need to be modified
If you unload scripts such that there's not enough items in the list for the macro it will cause an error. I can't remember if it's a fatal runtime error or something else. I abandoned this method a long time ago.
