Great topic and very useful information.
I have a question. I have been running DDR3's based simulations for a while now and wondering if it is possible to set up the tool to generate .sds files to make the eye mask viewing a more convenient.

Sorry for the delayed reply. There is no direct way to create an .sds file for DDR3 interface as eye mask is not officially defined by JEDEC. You might be able to simulate the DDR3 as DDR4 and edit the eyes mask requirements in the DRAM and Controller timing models but there might be some unknown implications.
