How can i share a dbc file with 2 designers in dxdata book
I'm set up like that now but when the second station opens schematics it will not let him open dxdatabook
Place the file in a shared area, and then update the location specification in the project.
I suggest you contact your local support orgnisation, sharing a dbc file and library is normal and that you are having problems doing so is not normal. Talking with a support representative will help pin down why it is not working for you.
I havethey told me that only one user can access and to use SQL Lite for multi users
has anyone converted to SQL LIte?
The folder containing the Access database MUST have write permissions for anyone that may use that DxDataBook instance... This is because Access uses what is called pessimistic locking, if you don't have write permission in the folder it lets you read it but locks everyone else out.
I don't know if SQL uses the same type of locking but it is worth a try.
We use SQL Lite and we love it. The reason we switched is because we have 32 bit office installed and we wanted to run the 64 bit Mentor tools. Before we switched we used MS Access with only a few issues that were easy to work around. See Shannon's message about permissions. I am guessing that is your issue
What program software are using if nor MSacess
We switched to SQL Lite
So, SQL enabled you to have multi user us the DxData Book
To create the file can you go from Excell to SQL
