Parts Quest has emailed me an EDX and STP file of an FPGA package which I want to place on a PCB. The cell editor only accepts DXF files.
Can anyone help with this?
What version of Xpedition are you using?
Exit the cell editor, and then File Import EDX. I typically use the bulk mode and continue on error.
This will import the Part, including the cell and schematic symbol.
Great to hear from you.
I am using E2_2 and used the procedure you described below: I had created my
own symbol and
now have a 1517-pin cell in the central library.
I would also like to import .bxl files, is this possible?
bxl files are created by UltraLibrarian. https://www.ultralibrarian.com/ has utilities for creating content that can be imported into Xpedtion
Hope you are well.
I have just been sent some DXF footprints, what's the best way to import
these for storage within the central library.
I tried importing into Cell Editor but nothing happened.

Can DXF and ascii footprint files be imported into Library Manager to map cells to symbols?
I don't understand the question.
PCB footprints and symbols in EDX can be imported into Library Manager.
I would like to understand if DXF or ascii format PCB footprint files be imported into Library Manager?
Also, does anyone know how to import a lia footprint into the central library?
the .lia format is created by snapeda https://www.snapeda.com/ Please check with them for an Xpedition format converter.
Is it possible to extract a cell footprint file from an odb++ file?
