Has anyone tried using VeSys for hydraulics design.  It looks like it can be done, but are there any tricks I need to know ?

Yes you can.  I have created a drawing for an Aerospace customer but you need to employ some ingenuity .

You treat the wires as pipes and so setup some wires in the database with the size 1", 2", and so on, then for all of the ports you setup dummy connectors and I used custom components to assist in this.  The cool thing is that VeSys will then report that you have used the wrong size 'pipe' for an 'adaptor' although the messages will be 'no terminal found for wire xxxx to fit connector xxx'.

Not ideal but it works!  I even setup different color Wires to represent different pipes Pnuematic/Hydraulic/etc.
