    Difference between copper and plane area

      Hi,

       

      I am new to PADS software.

       

      I need to know , what is difference between Copper and Plane area.

       

      I know that the plane area is to connect particular nets using copper.

       

      what is copper??+

       

      Can anyone suggest me the about this?

          Plane area will create your clearances automatically according to your rules, after you connect them, using the pour manager. Then you'll see the hatch outline. by typing spo, you'll see the plane area outline that you created. Copper does not create a hatch outline after you fill it. It is just copper and will connect anything that you place it over, with no thermals or hatches, or automatic clearances.
