We were waiting to see if anyone would notice. :-)
Just kidding. Look for an update next week. I'll post a note here when the updates are live.
Slight delay. ETA for the page update is now the end of the month.
no news yet? Another month has passed.
Ah, so you saw the white smoke? :-)
We haven't forgotten that we still owe everyone a look forward....
I just read the release notes only. No new features added in 7.9.5? It seems it like be a bug-fix release to 7.9.4~
Hi Yanfeng and Mentor guys,
also I have not installed yet but certainly both documents ( EE7.9.5_rn and EE7.9.5_rh ) are an exact copy of those published with the previous version EE7.9.4.
Look at them carefully and you will see exactly the same list of errors, they have only changed the first page and footer reference to the new version.
Also in the document EE7.9.5_rh apart from the footer all references are to the EE7.9.4 ( see pages 2 and following )
Example from page 2:
CES and iCES have been enhanced with new features that improve product usability and efficiency,
and a new resource to help new users get on board with our constraint system. Details of the changes
can be found within the Constraint System Highlights EE7.9.4 video on SupportNet.
New! File > Export > Constraints to encrypted CSV
CES in 7.9.4 includes a new format for exporting constraints in human readable form that will
replace the previous human readable export format generated from the command “File > Export
> Constraints to encrypted ASCII.” This new format is easier to read, easier to sort and more
complete than the previous format. We will retain the previous format for approximately two
years to give customers time to migrate. We recommend that users review this new format now
and become familiar with it so they will be prepared when we remove the old format.
- An error in the publication of these not up to date documents but, it is also strange that the "What's New" document is missing.
- The release of EE7.9.5 was a sudden decision and it is really a collection bug fixes and so there was no need to change these documents.
We need to install it and really see what it is.
However, I think that Mentor graphics should release an update of the document Release Planning 2013 to clarify the situation.
It 'a long time we are waiting for this blessed "New Major Release".
I have also found this fact this morning and I logged a SR on the supportnet. Iseriouslly ask Mentor tell us the reason. I don't think that's an error.

Why this? 7.9.5 now is ready for customer download. If you read the release notes and highlights, you will find a fact that it's 7.9.4 but Mentor replace 7.9.4 with 7.9.5. Why ? juset tell us the reason
I talked with my application engineer yesterday about EE7.9.5. He told me that this release is EE7.9.4 with all the patches. There were few (if any) updates for DxDesigner in this release. He also told me that the next release has been pushed out to Q3 of this year.
It would be nice if Mentor could communicate this on the web site for all users to see.
