    explanation of hetero types

Can someone please explain the different hetero symbol types and when you would use them? I can't find a single explanation and some hetero type 1 and hetero type 3 seem like the same thing to me.

          Hello Daniel,

Usually Hetero Type 3 is used for large components (ICs) if you need to split pins into multiple PCB symbols and these symbols are combined into one, single simulation model. And Hetero Type 1 which is very similar is used also for spliting different components from one physical device into separate symbol, and what is the most important Hetero Type 1 allows PARTS property to have value different than 1 (it means that one graphical symbol can represent more than one gate from the physical device).

          Thank you,

          Michal
