    Problem in compiling hello world application

    oamprakash

      Hi,

      I am working on the project based on Marvel wmsdk development kit. I have downloaded and installed the toolchain arm-2012.09-63-arm-none-eabi.exe as mentioned in the requirements.

      When trying to compile the helloworld program in C using the Makefile which is given in the demo source and executing the command in cygwin as:

      $ make SDK_PATH=path/to/sdk

      i get error message as

      warning: cannot find entry symbol Reset_IRQHandler; defaulting to 00100000

      I tried this in both windows and linux virtualbox environment, I get the same error message. I couldn't figure out what goes wrong. Please suggest me to rectify this.

      Thanks.

          You should check that the source file and linker script file match with having the existance of the Reset_IRQHandler (and double check exact spelling of the reste handler).  If you still have problems, as Mentor does not build or test the Marvel SDK, I recommend you should contact Marvel support about their SDK to determine what is missing since this is an issue that could happen with any toolset.
