What is the layout environment? I am guessing you are not running PEX in batch mode on a pre-existing GDS.
Which version of Calibre, and is "PEX" xRC, xACT, xACT-3D...?
What netlist format? Is Calibre Interactive involved?
As total shots in the dark, here are some technotes that may be useful.
- How to collapse multiple instances (batch mode, xRC et al, SPICE)
- Fingered devices are not getting the proper factors in Calibreview (Cadence environment, xRC, Calibreview)
There's also a good example of a cellmap file handling fingers in Example A-3 of the Calibre Interactive manual. (Cadence environment, of course -- most of the hits I found were for Cadence + xRC.)

Thanks for your reply and suggestions. I am using virtuoso layout editor IC184.108.40.2060.18, calibre interactive PEX- xRC (version-v2010.2._38.23) with the netlist format pex. Yes, it is not a batch mod run and does not have pre-existing GDS.
I am yet to get into the detail of the technotes as I got stuck with another issue. However, it looks like there is a proper mapping required for the individual devices to map calibre properties to cadence properties. It needs to be reflected either in calview.cellmap or reset properties of calibre view setup. I am working on it and will post as soon as I get a way out.
Also, please let me know, if there is any further suggestion from your side.

- Technote MG66916, "How to Create a Skeleton Cell Map File" - updated less than a year ago, so should have information for IC6.1
- Technote MG500079, a list of resources for integrating xRC into the Cadence environment. Handy as it means less searching.
But me? I got nothing. I've never actually had to do the integration myself.
I came across the website http://www.mosis.com/vendors/view/ibm/design-kit-cmos . Calibre-PEX-xRC is perhaps not supported for the technology I am using (IBM_12SOI). I need to use Hercules Star.
