We use a single pin symbol for our multi-way connectors and assign them to slots (see below).
If the connector has ground tabs, we used to name them A, B, C etc (in Board Station) to distiguish them frm signal pins.
In EE, we'd obviously like to assign A, B, C etc to the supply (see below):
In the schematic, joined thus (all pins placed but not shown in this snap shot):
When we run package, we get this error:
Any ideas / help / solutions ??
In this case you are treating the physical pins A and B as implicit power pins (i.e. not shown on the symbol) so you should not be palcing them on the schematic. Just add the two extra pins to the gate definition (as A and B) with appropriate mapping.
