How do I persist a color change (using AutoCad Properties command) on a wire

Currently, within the VeSys configuration editor, a user can specify the color the wire object within a VeSys Design schematic. But the user does not have the ability to uniquely color the various types of wires (Wire, PCB Track, Bus Bar, Screen, Virtual Wire, Fly Lead) so that they appear uniquely within the drawing.

If you use the AutoCad > Properties command, you can change the wire color, but this color modification does not persist when saving and then re-opening the schematic.

So since all of the wire types within VeSys currently map to one color, how can I persist a color change (ie: virtual wire = yellow) for a group of specific wires.
