The insulation type 'Component' allows for the placement of the specified component a the defined intervals along the bundle.
In your example you have not specified the distance between items and hence no parts have been added.

Some ideas on how to model your heat shrink 'sleeve'...
If you really want to place the start and end point and have the length calculated... and have a layered linestyle shown then it needs to be modelled as a Tube and not a HSS. The HSS object is really menat for use as an insulating component on Splices.
If you want to add the object at a single node you could add it as component Other and model it in library as an In-House Assembly where the content is a 50mm length of HSS. A number of these could be created if you have a range of defined lengths typically used
Via styling you could automatically add a symbol showing your prefered graphical representation.
