When I start DxDesigner , what is shown in the picture below will always come out. Why? How to fix it.
try to run \MentorGraphics\win32\configurator to see if this warning dilog will go away.
Thanks for your reply. But the solution you said does not work. The EE7.9 and EE7.9.5 is both installed on my PC.\MentorGraphics\win32\configurator can switch the two,When only EE7.9 is installed, the warning dialog will not come out on startup. But when the two both installed, the warning dialog will come out on startup. Is there other way to solve it?
I suggest you check %WDIR% to see whether it points to the right %SDD_HOME%\standard. If WDIR path is wrong or include 7.9 and 7.9.5, just correct it.
I think this is because of a "shared" WDIR folder. The message says "Hey there is an instruction to show the iCES addin and I don't know what that is" -- so to get rid of the error for today you will need to delete or rename the DxDesigner.wsp file from your personal WDIR folder.
For the long run you should check out Setting Your Software Environment with SDD Configurator which has a very nice section on versioning your WDIR starting on page 10. This link is for the PADS version of the document but it is the same in the IND and EE flows.
