    DA_IC Segmentation Fault / Violation

    vikram.m.rao

      Hi All,

I am using ICStudio 2008.1 (yes I realize this is outdated, we have some existing designs and we do not want to make tool changes in the middle of them) running on Linux 64bit. When using da_ic and I attempt to "Prep for Layout", I get a segmentation violation. I get segmentation faults when I attempt to generate a netlist or simulate. I've even tried a simple inverter design and same problem. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here is the log from the "Prep for Layout" segmentation violation:

One thought is to locate the "Calibre Administrator's Guide" for the version you are using and check to see if the operating system you are using is newer than those that were qualified back in 2008.

You might also find some related information in a current version of the Calibre Administrator's Guide in the section called "Running Older Calibre Versions on Newer x86-64

          Hardware"
