If you have a mobile compute license, the limitation with remote display is well documented on this site (see License Types) and on SupportNet. But there is a twist with Nucleus products, so I thought I'd post this at the suggestion of the Nucleus support team.
Most Mentor Graphics products will display some sort of a license error and may even provide a message that says 'Terminal Server remote client not allowed' when you attempt to use Remote Desktop with a mobile compute license. Nucleus products however present this license configuration GUI instead:
If you are using Remote Desktop, you should verify that the license you have is not a mobile compute license. In that event, there is nothing you can configure here that will resolve the problem. In order to use Remote Desktop, you must have a floating or a node-locked counted license.
As an adendum to the above, I've since learned that Nucleus ReadyStart is currently not offered with a floating license option. Node-locked counted is the way to go.
