Make sure you turned off the "Snap to objects" feature .
Good advice! "snap to object" was on. I turned it to off, but it didn't help.
It might happen that your environment variables are pointing to a file which is no longer available, PADS Layout sometimes experiences delay in this case
To view a complete list of license files type “pcls_ok” in run, check the list and remove the unnecessary license paths
I typed the "pcls_ok" in run and I got this kind of list:
PCLS version: 184.108.40.206
Package information version v3.1_1.0v, written Tue Oct 02 03:02:27 2012
MGLS_LICENSE_FILE environment value =
MGLS_LICENSE_FILE registry value =
LM_LICENSE_FILE environment value =
LM_LICENSE_FILE registry value =
Default License File
C:\flexlm\license.dat does not exist.
The first one is the correct license (I just changed the values to XXXX and "license name"), and it is a netrwork license. But how about those next 4 license lines, there is no use for those? How can I remove those unnecessary lines / values?
It seems your license file list is fine
The problem seems to be something else, did you try running the configurator(c:\MentorGraphics\win32\configurator.exe) once
Thanks for the replies. It seems that it was some problem with my display card settings. Hardware accaleration setup was "Full". I changed it to "middle" level and now the routing works without lagging.
Now I am having same kind of problem with my new laptop.
The whole PADS Layout program is very slow when I connect the Logic and Layout with Layout link button.. When I take off the link connection, then the layout side is working quite good/fast.
Actually, routing is quite fast with or without the connection. The lagging/stalling occurs when I try to zoom out or in, or move right or left (with shift + scroll).
Do you have any suggestions?
