If I select several objects in a schematic is there a way to deselect one that I don't want in the selection?
What version do you use?
In former versions use the shift key for deselction.
Use Cntl+Left Mouse button to add or subtract objects in a selection.
Ctl LMB will add to selections but it does not de-select.
In current versions of the software Shift + LMB deselects objects. In the forthcoming VX version Ctrl+LMB will both select and de-select.
interestingly both ctrl and shift are working for deselecting an object
I am using EE 795 (patch 14). It seems that CTRL LMB works to select and deselect components in DxDesigner. BUT..... If I deselct a part the Component body is deselected but the Pin numbers, Ref Des and Value do not get deselected. Any ideas?
Try Shift + LMB, works for me in 7.9.4 Update 27.
Cheers Rob - that works perfectly - I was expecting the same combination of Buttons and Mouse Clicks to select and Deselect the item - but now we know that is fine.
It is harmonised in VX.1, Ctrl + LMB will select and de-select as expected.
Shift-LMB works in my version. Thank you
if you do in this way for deselecting a specific group of objects
in a schematic you need to click n number of times
instead of doing this use selection filter ,this will provide option for selecting the specific group of objects e.g nets symbol text etc
but if you want to select symbols alone in a schematic both symbols with parts and without parts like page connectors will be selected
in that case you have to manually un select the symbol
BUT DONT SELECT TWO DISSIMILAR PROPERTY AND HIDE OR ENABLE ATTRIBUTES THIS WOULD SOME TIME ADD THE PROPERTY WHICH IS NOT PRESENT IN THE SYMBOL FROM THE SYMBOL WHICH HAS THE PROPERTY
e.g IF A RESISTOR AND DIODE OR A PAGE CONNECTOR IS SELECTED AND THE VALUE ATTRIBUTE IN THE RESISTOR IS MADE INVISIBLE IN THE PROPERTIES WINDOW THEN BOTH THE OBJECTS SELECTED OTHER THAN THE RESISTOR WILL HAVE THE ATTRIBUTE CALLED VALUE WHICH DOESN'T BELONG TO
