Orcad translation problems

Question asked by volain on Sep 11, 2014

I'm having a problem trying to import an old orcad design.  If I have the "Create blank PKG_TYPE attribute" selected, when it translates I get an error: "DxD block view does not exist" and although I can see the blocks in  the DxD Navigator, the schematics are empty.

If I DEselect the "Create blank PKG_TYPE attribute" and have PCB footprint mapped to PKG_TYPE in the mapping tab, it translates ok, but I actually DON'T get the PKG_TYPE attribute in the translated symbols. (PCB footprint is empty, so that might be why).  If I eliminate the mapping, then the symbols have a "PCB Footprint" attribute added.

So, what am I doing wrong?
