What are the steps to configure a Windows PC to run Mentor tools when the license server is already running on a Linux machine elsewhere on the network ?
Does any licensing software need to run locally on the PC or is just a case of setting an environment variable on the Windows machine e.g $LM_LICENSE_FILE to point to the port on the Linux machine that is hosting the license server ?
Mentor applications can check out licenses from a license server running on any supported platform. The license server and the application can be on different platforms.
For example, a Windows application can check out a license from a Linux server, and a Linux application can check out a license from a Windows server.
