I do this by using CAM350 , you can export the gerber as you like , import it in CAM350 and export the DXF.
so let me know what is the use of this setup option while exporting the DXF file.i assigned the line width for drill symbol but i could not get the dxf file ??
You cannot get the drill table exported to DXF directly from PADS.
The drill table is only generated when doing Drill Drawing Gerber Output.
The only way is to convert a Drill Drawing gerber file to DXF. E.g. by using CAM350.
Here is an old script (from V2007) to draw the drill table in PADS so you can see it before the CAM routine. If it still works you should post it in the script area (wherever that is).
Actually, I can't upload it here for some reason, so I posted it on the Yahoo! Groups for PADS.
Look closely at the warning message - There is a C:\ folder and a E:\ folder defined in the path. My guess is that this script is currently written to work only in the 'c:\PADS Projects' folder.
For a short term fix it looks like you can change line 439 from:
Open CAMFullDir & cam_drlrep For Input As #3
Open cam_drlrep For Input As #3
to fix your problem.
The script is expecting your drill file to be located at "C:\PADS Projects\CAM\NCDrill.rep". Either relocate your ncdrill.rep file to :C:\PADS Projects\CAM" or edit the script file as described above.
Why? When you run the script, CAMFullDIR = "C:\PADS Projects\CAM\" and camdrl_rep is set to "E:\Kaba...\Gerber\PRJ...\NCDRILL.rep", so that is why the error message says it can't find:
still i am getting problem while running the script file even i assigned path of drill and Nc drill should be same.could you please post how output file will be appear while running the Script file.let me share any one of pcb is it possible to find the problem and fix it .Please help to solve this issue.Thansk for above replies from your side.
I get the same error that you see. It only works after I make the change for line #439 listed above so you'll have to edit the script.
If you want to explore this in more detail, post on firstname.lastname@example.org. A lot of users there have more experience with this script.
can you edit the line #439 and share that script file .i don't know what i need to edit in the script file.or else
Open PADS Layout
<tools><Basic Scripts><Basic Scripts>
(select the 'Drill table 2k7' script and press <Edit>
Press <F3> to search for "Open CAMFullDir & cam_drlrep For Input As #3"
Replace that line with "Open cam_drlrep For Input As #3"
Press the <Save> button
Viola! You've just edited your first script.
