What tools and versions are you using?
I have converted netlist files into schematic in Cadence Virtuoso version IC6.1.5-64b. Please let me know through which tools and version it could be done and how. I will try to get that.
I am sorry; I don't use Virtuoso so can't give any advice. I thought perhaps this was an LVS question, or maybe parasitic extraction. Mostly I work with rule files and just use the GUIs to look at results.
Can you please share like how you do that maybe with an example or something else? I just want to get it done, doesn't matter how. Thanks!
I would use nmLVS with some HCells to define correspondence points, and crossprobe results using RVE and DESIGNrev. (All part of the Calibre suite, as that is what I work with here at Mentor.)
I did find a new appnote about using Calibre tools in Virtuoso to do LVS and all - maybe something there will help? It is MG576923, "Extraction and Simulation Within the Cadence Environment."
Hope that helps-
I think you could benefit from a post to this same group just a couple of items down from this one:
The title may mention highlighting nets, but the same technique should work for any netlist object, including instances. RVE's search tool is involved and it lets you select the kind of objects to search for.
