There is a piece of software called ALE (Advanced Library Editor) - You should be able to extract parts and their associated attributes. See:
I guess the ALE software is for DX-Designer only?
I should have wrote that I am using PADS Logic / PADS Layout.
The scripts posted by myself and Jeremy Parker only work on DX/Expedition libraries and designs. We don't have anything for PADS Logic/PADS.
If you are still interested, you can export your selected library and selected attributes to a .csv file, which can be opened in Excel.
In the library editor:
select the library you want to export
List to File
Select attributes to "Include" (Great way to limit only the fields you want)
Be sure to save as file type CSV
Then open the resultant file in Excel
Hope this Helps
That is the way I am doing it right now.
I am doing this on a regular basis and I have created a macro to do this.
However I always have to manually modify the .csv file in order to make it look the way I want.
It would be much easier to be able to run a script to send it directly to Excel.
This script could modify the .xls file the way I want - including adding information from other .xls files - such as Cost, Stock quantity and similar.
