    Opening schematic files

    dual1ty

Hello community. I am trying to open some existing schematic files. I assume that this has been done in PADS. The file extensions for those files are strange, they are ending in e.g. .10 for page 10 of the schematic, .11 for page 11, etc. When trying to open them using Notepad (or even DX Designer) I get something like this:

      S 3 4

      L 1320 1980 14 0 8 0 1 0 DDR_CK_RN

What's the correct way to open it?

Below is a screenshot of the files I have. Please help me to open those schematic files.

      Thank you very much!

You need to open the .dproj file to convert the ascii schematics into the newer database formats.  The files you are referencing, may or may not be schematic files, I can't tell without seeing the file in it's entirety.  Schematic files should be in the \sch subdirectory.

To migrate teh file to the new format, ensure that the paths are still correct in Viewdraw.ini for the symbol libraries.

I cannot open the .dproj file. The error message says: "This project cannot be opened because it does not belong to supported flows".

I moved those schematic files from the \sch sub-directory to take a screenshot. So they must be schematic files. Not sure how to open or convert them though.
