I use reference designators that have a dash in them, such as "R5-2".  I ran "Packager" and got error messages indicating that DxDesigner can't differentiate between, say "R5" and "R5-2".  I figured that a dash is an illegal character.  I tried to replace the dash with an underscore by typing it in the appropriate "Properties" box for the part, but it wouldn't take.
