Reference impedance to be used while extracting s parameters of differential line

While extracting s parameters of differential line it asks for reference impedance, i provided 50 ohms for 100 ohm differential trace

If it is a 90 ohm differential trace should i provide 45 ohms or 50 ohms for reference impedance while extracting s parameters.

Will it cause any difference?

How does tool interpret that block of s parameter as 50 ohms reference impedance when i simulate it with driver and receiver?

Based on my learning, that reference impedance is used for normalizing so whether i take 50 ohms or 25 ohms it should not cause any difference.
