Please add the symbol's definition in the PDB for this part, ---> How do I add the symbol's definition in the PDB
Xpedition or PADS - you seem to post across all communities? If Xpedition then in Xpedition Library Tools - Part Editor - Pin Mapping.
I have PADS
its funny you ask that because EXPEDITION used to be a Personal Automated Design Systems or PADS software. I am using PADS
Expedition has never been PADS. Anyway, I will move this conversation to the correct community. Please post PADS questions under Schematic Design - xDX Designer xDX Designer
Expedition used to be a product called "VeriBest"
What is the background for this question? If you are using PartQuest in the PADS netlist flow, it is a defective error message in this release.
Im trying to package my schematic and it is giving me this Error --Symbol: XSTR:MFETP_8P_H not found on Part Number: 11540PE19 in Parts DataBase. [Please add the symbol's definition in the PDB for this part]
In your case, based upon the error message, I am assuming you are using the PADS Standard Plus VX2.x with an integrated flow project. To correct the library part.
In the Schematic menu
Tools, PADS library tools
Find the part 11540PE19 in the tree and add the schematic symbol to the part.

If I remember correctly PADS was just releasing EXPEDITION just before Mentor bought them out, I think it was late 90's or early 2000 or maybe Mentor had already taken ova, but anyway Thank You Sir for your help, I will do just that.
I think Mentor bought Veribest in November 1999. They bought PADS after that and they have always been separate products
Ahhh so Mentor was making a salad. I was thinking PADS PowerPCB was moving up into Expedition, I think that was 01 - 02 but I guess Mentor had already taken over
