What’s the difference between running a rule on an Object List vs. running a rule on the entire design?

When running a rule, you can choose to run the rule on the entire design or on a subset of the design, such as on a specific Object List. Limiting the scope of the rule to a specific Object List can help target certain design elements and reduce the likelihood of false violations. For example, you would not run the Fly-By Topology (topology for DDR3 and DDR4 high-speed nets) on the entire design but instead on an Object List containing DDR3 and DDR4 nets, clocks, address lines, etc.
