What files have you got on the network folder ?
Off memory, We have a "Dennis Eagle Folder" inside this is all the files that is normally in the Vesys electrical series folder. Things like Design.ini, Harness.ini etc. The reason for this is that all pc's read these files and I can change how they all work in one go. All works fine but one PC that isn looking at the configuration file on the network like all the others do. I thought that it was the directory path in the Enviromental Varibles that instructed where VeSys looked for the configuration file?
the VesysConfiguration.ini is located at Y:\Engineering\VESYS\Setup.
In this is the following:
[Dennis Eagle Network]
ReportsSettingsFile = Y:\Engineering\VESYS\Setup\Dennis Eagle Network\VeSysReports.ini
ComponentsSettingsFile = Y:\Engineering\VESYS\Setup\Dennis Eagle Network\VeSysComponents.ini
DesignSettingsFile = Y:\Engineering\VESYS\Setup\Dennis Eagle Network\VeSysDesign.ini
HarnessSettingsFile = Y:\Engineering\VESYS\Setup\Dennis Eagle Network\VeSysHarness.ini
Position = 0
In the folder Y:\Engineering\VESYS\Setup\Dennis Eagle Network Are the following:
I am not sure what the problem is... perhaps you should raise an SR# then someone can setup a WebEx with you (if I am free then I will join in).
Firstly you should double check your Environment Variable to make sure it is correct maybe even removing it and adding back in just to be sure, after that I'd recommend deleting ALL local .ini files so that VeSys cannot get to local ini's. I have seen it once before where VeSys still uses the local settings even when there is an Environment Variable set I can't remember the cause of this but deleting the local files won't give VeSys the option to use anything other than your network ini's.
