Removing the paste mask aperture from one pad in a decal

Using PADS vx.2.2 Update 7

I have a decal with a pad that should not be included in the paste mask. I have manually set the top and bottom paste mask aperture to a size of 0 in the pad stack in both the library and the layout instance of the decal. The pad still shows up in my paste mask output.

I exported the decal, renamed it with notepad, imported it to back into pads and I see that the pad stack definition is retained.

What am I missing?
