    Adding Layers to Gerber OUTPUT

    gr8_omar

      Hi everyone,

I am new to mentor graphics and this is my first post on this forum. When i started working on my design, it was a four layer design with 3 routing layers and 1 ground plane using ExpeditionPCB. later due to design complexity and length n impedence matching, i moved to 6 layer design. 4 layers for routing and 2 ground planes. now when my design is finished and i want to genrate gerber files, only four layers show up output > Gerber optiin and they represent the starting design info which is wrong.

How do i update the layer information in GERBER output option. Any help will be highly appriciated as i am a newbie

          Hi,

You can create new output files by clicking on the * icon.

In the "Contents" tab you can define the content that is shown in the Gerber output.

For a detailed description click on the "Help" icon in right lower window corner.

This will explain how the Gerber Output function works.

          Regards,

          Wim.
