Soldermask Layer Shows Pin Number

I have a decal in PADS Layout VX.2.5 that has padstacks for the top layer, inner layers, and bottom layer, as well as for the top and bottom soldermask layers (it is a through-hole component).

When I create a PDF of the layout, I notice that the Soldermask Top Layer not only has the soldermask footprint, but also has the pin number superimposed on the pad.

I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the pin number on the soldermask top layer?

2. Why does the pad without the top soldermask layer (pin 34) appear smaller than pin39, even though the drill size and diameter of the pads are the same?

Thank you in advance.
