My top layer from PADS Layout doesn't show up in the composite view. It appears fine in Top View.
By 'Adobe Create' do you mean <File><Create PDF...>?
Make sure you have your top layer properly 'checked' (configured) in the composite output.
I don't find composite view very useful anymore with everything controlled by computer. You can see the same things (and I trust them more) in a Gerber viewer.
Yes Adobe Create PDF. The funny thing is if I go back to the pre autorouted board with some protected traces, the composite shows all the layers. One other thing I noticed is the top layer size doesn't match the other layers after autorouting. I tried setting it to much the other layers but it didn't help.
My reason for needing this is for review by engineers in my group. I wish there was a shareable viewer that allowed clicking on nets and highlighting them like in Layout.
You can use the 'save' button to generate an ASCII file with settings for your PDF generation. Reviewing that might indicate what the issue is with the top layer.
Scale to fit i- If there is something off the board on one layer it will come in at a very different scale than the other layers. You might need to zoom way, way out to find it.
Other Engineers who don't have a PADS license can open the design in PADS Layout. It will complain but then open the file, and then they can do just about everything except save changes.
