I have created a new drawing size and want to use it for all of new projects.
How can I define it in my template file?
Add it to the borders.ini file. You can do this when setting up your template and making sure to copy the borders.ini file into the template space or wherever it is that you have your supporting files.
TechNote mg529885 details how to setup the borders.ini (and other things about custom borders).
DxDesigner looks for templates in the directories defined by the WDIR variable.
So add the path to the template to your WDIR en you are done.
I don't mean where should my template file to be store.
How can I define a new drawing size and store it in my template file or some where that I can use it for all of my new projects using this template file.
AH, i misunderstood you. You can 'draw' your new drawing size with the symbol editor. The drawing border is just an other symbol. But a bit special.
It is documented in the 'xDx Designer Symbol editor User's Guide'
Create a new drawing border is not the problem. After creating it how can this new border automatically be inserted into "Borders and Zones" List for all of my new projects? Note: The new project should be created using user template file.
As i said before, create a template design and put the path in the WDIR variable. Give the template a nice name
and up you go.
In the template you cal also set the library, dxDatabook etc.
the path of template directory for PADS Pro is not correct in the appnote MG527586
The correct path must be %WDIR%\templates\dxdesigner\PADSPro
