For deletion of parts, follow the steps below:

          1. Change the status of components to obsolete in component maintenance window.

          2. Open Component deletion window, and select the parts for deletion.

          3. Delete the parts.

Note: You can not delete the parts which are consumed in VeSys harness or Vesys wiring.

          thanks

During the installation of VeSys 2.0, there was an option to "Load Starter Data" this pre-populated your system database with Projects, Symbols and Components.  On a fresh PC install VeSys 2.0 without choosing "Load Starter Data", this will create a "blank" embedded database.

Note the database used by VeSys 2.0 Manager is located in C:\MentorGraphics\VeSys\embeddeddata, if the "VeSys Embedded Database 2009.0" service is not running (Windows Control Panel) then it's easy to just repalce an existing database by moving the folder.

There is another thread which describes how to backup "embeddeddata"

            Thanks,
