Could anyone please tell me if there are any industry standards for electronic component thermal models? Like IBIS for SI.
I'm aware of FloTHERM and Icepack models but these are CAD-specific.
Thanks in advance!

Is this standard available for free?
Yes - we support both the 2-resistor and multi-resistor (DELPHI) standards in our FloTHERM and FloTHERM.PACK product lines. For further information, please refer to the Compact Thermal Model Guidelines available at http://www.jedec.org/download/search/JESD15-3.pdf and http://www.jedec.org/download/search/JESD15-4.pdf.
Great! So the only "slight" problem now is to "force" component manufacturers to provide models for their devices
All Semiconductor companies will normally provide 2-R data as standard and an increasing number are likely to start providing DELPHI data as well - further to the publication of the guidleine last year. That said, if you are a customer of the semiconductor company, they will also normally provide model data on request, even if it is not publicly available.
