what is your current process and what are your experiences with EXP backdrilling data now?
Now We get back-drill tape data directly from Expeditionpcb. There is work-around instead of writing the script in back plane board design, where you only need to backdrill those of stubs of connectors hole. You can create a special through-type testpoint with the unique drill size, let Expeditionpcb automatically place the testpoints on the connector pins, then create the drill tape file. After modify the drill file by eliminate other tooling, it's the back-drill tape file. We also validate this workaround in fabs, it works well.
BTW, I hope next release of Expeditionpcb or smart utility begin to support back-drill.
