The short description is a field that is populated from its corresponding one in the library part.
Option field is a separate and different one, so the two are not linked together.
What you need to do is add the short description to the part in VeSys 2.0 Components.
So I take it that the Sync is done with the name only part?
The name of an object is what's used to distinguish it during synchronization; this is what's brought across.
Thought so, Where in components do you fill in the Short description?
There should be a Short Description field on the main tab of the component.
not on of my devices ?
I'm not sure what you mean by your question, Carl. The field should be present on all component groups (object types).
Note that devices are not synchronized, only physicals (connectors)
To clarify, I ment that when a device is added to a drawing that has a connector attached to it under "Housing" in components, this device should be called the same name in harness as in design.
Screen shot below.
So we call the device "BC52" in the "Name on the design.
We add a connector on the harness with name "BC52"
But when syncronised, it deletes "BC52" from the harness?
The other issue was on the harness drawing there is a dialoge box called "Short Description" where we add a description on the usage of the connector. In design, there is no "Short Description" box. This menas on every design, we have to create a new property called "Short Description" then on every harness we have to type in the "Short description" this means double the work?
