I wonder if the peek level has something to do with it.
If you tap the number "9" on your keyboard it should set the peek level to nine levels deep for viewing.
Does that change anything? The peek range is displayed near the bottom edge of the DESIGNrev window. Your default might be something like 0 to 0 if you are seeing only the top level.

i tried changing the level in he Designrev , but i still can see nothing ..
The title of the post was for ".lef" file, but the question seemed to be about "gds" file. Are you working with both types of files?
I don't have much experience with LEF/DEF files but I thought they usually didn't have much data inside the cells, that they were used mainly for routing descriptions.
GDS files usually have polygon data for layers that make up devices and interconnect and guard rings etc.
Which kind of file are you bringing into DESIGNrev?
