    Ring Terminal

    jkoogler

This may be a simple one and I just can't figure it out. I have a switch with screw terminals on the back and want the wires going to it to have ring terminals installed. I was trying to use a connector symbol and add the ring terminal part number, but the symbol for the connector is too large and doesn't fit properly on the switch symbol. Is there another way to create a connector sybol that is smaller that would fit? Or is there a totally different way to show something like this?

      Thanks,

For the switch define a connector that covers all the pins (again you could define the switch in VeSys 2.0 Components with a harness connector footprint), the connector itself can be set as "Not on BOM", but the housing definition would select the correct terminals required (note the graphic used for the "Not on BOM" connector can be that of a ring terminal, so within harness it appears as a ring terminal, or group of ring terminals).
