I need to create new parts in LM using automation. My application looks for identical parts based on Cell and symbol and copy the part. This works fine.
Now, I need to add the ability to find similar parts based on symbol only. Which means, that after I copy the identical part I need to delete his cell.
I tried to use the following automation function "part.CellReferences.Remove(1)" but it doesn't do anything.
According to the documentation, CellReferences has a read-only access , so I guesses that this is the reason it doesn't work.
What can I do to resolve this issue?
Thanks for your help,
I checked the Library automation.
The Remove method which you are using is a command for erasing from a collection.
Therefore, a CellReference object isn't deleted.
The CellReference object doesn't have a method for deleting.
Moreover, a Name property is read-only.
I think that the request to Mentor Idea is required in order to do your activity.
