I think what happened is that the resistor has lost its pin mapping and/or model attachment. Can you please check this by going to RMB > Analysis > Attach?
A model should be attached to the device and pin mapping tab should show mapping between pins on the diagram and terminals on the model.

I am experimenting with some simple circuits in order to get to know the Analysis feature in VeSys. See the image.
The circuit is `analysis ready' (blue lines) and after closing the switch, the current flows (green lines).
But when I change the fuse to `blown' the circuit seems to stay intact and the currents keeps flowing. How is this possible?
It should disconnect the circuit, you're right.
Which version of VeSys 2.0 is this?
If it is 2010.1, and the fuse model has not been changed, then make sure the fuse has the "fuse" model attached to the device and that the pins are mapped to model terminals.
