Filtering capabilities in Layer Browser Tab.

Currently rules become more and more complex for modern technology nodes. As a result after invocation of any Calibre application user will get 100’s of layers in RVE Layer Browser tab and only way to find something for debugging purpose is to scroll.

To fix this issue Find capability and user controllable Filtering capability created and available starting from 2010.3 Release. Below is the view of RVE Layer Browser Tab with the mentioned functionality.

Different types of controllable filters are supported, list of filters and description supplied below:

 

Filter Name

Description

All                                           

Show all layers

Original Layers                   

Show original layers (PO, OD, M1, MARKER)

Derived Layers                         

Layers that aren’t original and aren’t result layers (intermediate layers: Butted_CO, OD_CO, PO_CO)

Result Layers                          

All layers except original and derived. “With Actual Violations” specified in combo box means that only nonempty layers will be displayed.

DFM ANALYZE Layers

Layers that are created with DFM ANALYZE operation. “Detail only” option specified in combo box means that only detail layers will be displayed.

Layers for Check

Show all layers which are the results of the specified check. Wildcard pattern matching is supported.

Layers for Bin              

Show all layers for which DFM_BIN annotation exists and value of annotation is equal to specified value. Wildcard pattern matching is supported

Layers for Rule

Show all layers for which DFM_RULE annotation exists and value of annotation is equal to specified value. Wildcard pattern matching is supported

Layers for Metric         

Show all layers for which DFM_METRIC annotation exists and value of annotation (which is in generally list of metrics) contains specified value.

Layers for Level           

Show all layers for which DFM_LEVEL annotation exists and value of annotation is equal to specified value.

Uses the Layer

Show all layers whose traces contains specified layer (all layers that are created using specified layer) including specified layer. Wildcard pattern matching is supported.
