    Plotting

      To All,

OK does anyone know where or what controls "Job name" when you plot to PDF or Printer.

Under Options you can select "Plot Job Name"

However it does not plot the name of the current design I am in and CAM plotting from?

I did make one design to a point the used it as a template by copying

that design to another folder renamed it as so on. Would I have needed to do a save as within PADS?

If so can this be fixed now?

I searched technet etc not finding anything on this particular subject other than you can have it print the Job Name by selecting it.

      Thanks

      Bob

The "Job Name" is the name of the file.  It is embedded in the file and you need to do a "Save As..." to set it.

You can see what the job name is by doing an ASCII export and then opening the .ASC file in a text editor.

            Cliff,

Thanks yes the save as itself works. However by doign that it created another folder below the folder the pcb file is in with same name of pcb, folder is empty?

Why does it do that? If I delete that folder, as it has nothing in it, when ever I export an ascii file it keeps creating that blank folder?

            Thanks

            Bob
