I've attached the models from NI and a picture from LineSim of HyperLynx. The basis of the simulation was the Rocket IO SIS-Kit from Xilinx/Mentor. I have reduced just the data transfer rate from 3.75GBits to 1.5GBits.
I have tried to simulate firstly with the a PBRS-7 stimulus on that speed range. But the result is as I have described.
After this result I tried to simulate with a 750MHz oscillator frequence with different time steps. The model from LineSim and the results of simulation are included inside the pdf-report.
I guess you are using the eldo model. You may first check that the ForceFixedStep = 0 is set in the bsw.ini file of the HL tree (as Xilinix guide and set the step to a reasonable step value such as 3ps instead of 30ps.
This issue is a little more complicated. I suggest that you open a service request on SupportNet so that we can help you directly and in more detail.
I have set the the option wihtin the bsw.ini as you suggested. The simulation result is different as it was before. I have envolved as well the support group of Mentor Graphics. It seems something to do with simulator setups.
The models for itsself are ok. I will inform you about the reason, when we find the problem.

Could you tell me how do you generate V5GTP_Tx in Hyperlynx Linesim? I downloaded the v5_gtx_transceiver_models_ibis-ami file from xilinx. Do I really need sisoft software to generate an ibis file for Hyperlynx? I could not found the xilinx virtex 5 design kit that Mentor claim on their web seminar below:

You need to contact Xilinx for the IBIS files that go with the ami files. These can't be generated in HyperLynx. IBIS-Ami Models consists of 3 portions all of which must be provided by the vendor.
1) Analog models for the transmitter and receiver (IBIS format)
2) Compiled Algorithmic models (the DLL library for Windows, or SO library for Linux/Unix)
3) A parameter file (.ami) for the algorithmic models
Please refer to the technote below to answer some of your question about IBIS-AMI. If you need further assistance, open a service request via supportnet and someone from Mentor Support will help you.
Thanks for the quick reply. I checked with xilinx and their ibis-ami files only support sisoft QCD SerDes Vendor Implementation Kits. Those files are .sp (HSPICE format). So I guess my question would be how do I integrate .sp model into HyperLynx Linesim. Is there any tutorials? Sorry I am a newbie.
Also, I noticed that Chuck Ferry on his webminar mentioned about the Hyperlynx 8.0 AMI design kit. I searched almost everywhere and I could not found it. (Well, I actually found the one for virtex II rocket i/o but I am using virtex 5!) Are they compatible?
I have simulated at the end only with the HSPICE models of Virtex-5.
They worked ok. But you must be careful on the settings of Hyperlynx. I do one major mistake on simulating with HSPICE:
It is not enough to connect the transmission line on the Linesim editor. You have to connect the line as will inside the model. So double click on the HSPICE model and check the connection. Next mistake is when you are defining the setup of the simulation. Hyperlynx is creating one HSPICE file before simulating. Therefore check the name and path before starting. In my case Hyperlynx do not create a new HSPICE model. The simulation result is than later still the same.
But when you take care of this everything works fine. In my case the IBIS file of the transceiver was wrong defined as well. I have learned my lesson.

I've got no .hyp of Virtex-5. Hyperlynx generates/needs the .hyp file for simulation. And this board is of course strictly confidential.
