I would like to know how to set "NO FIT" components on the schematic. I would like to represent these components with "NF" and want to have them omitted from the BOM in Part Lister.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There is a property to manage this, add Part List Exclude with a value of True if you want them to go to PCB but not be output in the BOM. If you don't want them in PCB/BOM then set Forward to PCB = False.
If you have Variant Manager you can doi this from the VM grid.
Part List Exclude dont works for me
What are you trying to do? Part List Exclude only works for the Part Lister launched from xDX Designer (Tools - Part Lister), it is not used by Variant Manager.
In the second attempt Part Lister works.
In our workflow the BOM is generated differently, where the component is
The component is also available in the pick and place file.
How can you fix this?
Use a combination of Forward to PCB = True/False & Part List Exclude=True/False.This is documented in the on-line help (DxDesigner's User Guide).
There is no combination for Parts not fitted and not in the “pick and place”
file, correct ?
No, you would need Variant Manager to manage such a situation or some customization of the output files.
